A family firm, run by Phil & Sarah.
PD Heating & Plumbing is a genuinely family-run business, based on Somers Road in Reigate. Phil Dilworth is a Gas Safe registered engineer and does the heating and plumbing; his wife Sarah manages the office and the diary. Between the two of them you deal with the people who actually run the firm — from the first message to the final check — not a call centre passing you around.
The work runs from boiler repairs, servicing and installation — on Vaillant, Glow-worm and Worcester — through central heating, leaks and water-supply faults, everyday plumbing, and full bathroom installations, where Phil takes a project from first idea to final tile as, in one client's words, “a 1 stop shop”.
What comes through in the reviews is a way of working rather than a sales pitch. Phil is described as “professional and honest from beginning to end” and “great at communicating”. He turns up promptly. He explains what he's doing. And when it genuinely can't wait, he goes out of his way — one customer had him come round the same day, out of hours, when he “wasn't supposed to be working that day”.
The clearest example is the November evening a customer's heating failed in the cold. Within an hour of a message, Phil talked them through re-pressurising the boiler over WhatsApp — no call-out, no charge, just a warm house again that night. It is the kind of thing that turns a one-off job into a first call for years, and it is why the Google rating sits at a straight 5.0.
